What is the worst a rental car company can say if you ask for more? – well the answer no is the worst thing and so why be afraid of that? You will pretty much be wasting your time if you ask for extra discounts in the holiday periods such as xmas, new year, annual childrens holiday times, but any other time of the year go for it. Clutching your cars coupons, ask for a free upgrade, ask for a sat nav system, or child seat for free. As I said what is the worst that can happen? – go haggle.
