Ski Holidays in Flaine, France

Essential Info: Purpose-built, car-free and architect planned in the 1960s. All of the pistes lead back towards the same nursery ski slopes, and so suitable for a group of mixed ability as everyone can regroup between runs. The nursery ski slopes are nicely kitted out, and also the primary slopes have something for every person, from cruising ski slopes to tricky black runs, and easily accessible off-piste in between the runs.

Very good for: A peaceful vacation. The traditional chalet-loving French aren’t large lovers of the architecture, so Flaine can be less noisy than you’d be expecting within the village and on the pistes.

Bonus: It is one of the closest resorts to Geneva, which usually makes for an easier-than-usual transfer.
