any car navigation systems that can show U real time traffic & weather conditions in a certain city?
The one in my CTS does – if I subscribe to XM Radio.
What I found was
1) I know the weather – I am outside, driving in it.
2) The traffic updates are about 20 minutes behind "real time". Since I was sitting in the traffic, I knew what that was, too.
I found both "features" useless.
I own a TomTom Go 700 Traffic, which comes with a plug-in windscreen aerial to pick up traffic reports from the TA system in the UK (which, apparently, is broadcast with Classic FM). This shows real-time traffic information, and the system allows you to re-route if the traffic is too heavy.
The weather can be accessed at all times, but only if you have connected the device (via Bluetooth) to a phone which can access the internet (via EDGE, GPRS, 3G, etc). If you aren’t on contract, though, this can be expensive as it will continuously contact the server for information.
Offerings from Navman and Garmin do this as well, but some are optional.
Hope this helps; here are some Amazon listings for suitable sat-nav devices:
