Reason for all systems in my Pulsar180 switched off suddenly?
i have Bajaj Pulsar180 DTS-I .i washed my bike after one month and took it for a drive.my bike suddenly stopped at the traffic-signal completely and all the systems switched off.my bike has only self-start no kick start.I turned the key to ignition-on position even then no display was appearing in speedometer.the rpm indicator was at the mid level as the engine is not started.
What should i do?
Blown fuse. There will be a spare in your bike. Replace the old fuse with this one. That should be enough. If the problem still persists, check the wiring right from the battery terminals. If battery is properly connected, something else may be the problem.
On a downward slope (or tell someone to push the bike), sit on your bike. Keep it in the 2nd gear, or if you manage a speed of around 20kmph (I’m sure you can guess it without the speedo), then keep the bike in the 3rd gear. Remember to keep the bike in gear & the clutch pressed/engaged before moving. Once the bike gains speed, depress the clutch. The engine should respond & the alternator should provide current. If the instrument panel works, you see the rpm indicator working, then the wiring & the battery connection, the fuse…all are okay.
And if the wiring, fuse are okay, then take the bike to the service centre…there may be something very serious.
EDIT:
Or give the service centre/showroom a phone call (the number must be in your bike’s documents you got while purchasing). They will assist you or send a mechanic to your home.
check the wires, do you have rats problem in your parking place?
my bike was troubling me in the same manner 2 months back.
