Just tell me how much money I can make.” If you are just playing around with a network marketing opportunity as a hobby and do not intend to get serious about it at all then there is no reason to care about the financial infrastructure of the company. However, if you are looking to build a day job killing business that will create multi-generational wealth for your family then you had better care about the financials of the company. Your network marketing company’s debt threatens the future of your business because debt service could come out of commissions. If the company is too highly leveraged it would only take one frivolous lawsuit or one slanderous news story to put the company into a bind in which it would have to borrow even more money, thus increasing the monthly debt service it would have to pay or forcing it to raise money by selling shares to investors who could end up have control over company policy including your commissions.
