Is Running a Stop Sign a Major Traffic Violation, I’m at 3 in Kansas?
Ok Kansas doesn’t use the point system, they use a rule that if you get 3 Major Traffic Violations in one Year you will get your license suspended,
I have one ticket back from august that was for 42 in a 30 which was my boo boo,
then a week ago I got one out on the highway for 75 in a 65 doing down a hill and I was using cruise control, problem is its 200 miles away so im just going to pay it,
and last night I got a running a stop sign ticket at an intersection were the stop light I guess got knocked down by something and I didn’t notice the temporary 4 way stop they set in its place so I did a right turn there and did a more of a real quick stop and I got another ticket so now I’m at 3
question is in the book it says 3 MAJOR traffic violations its suspended, would the last two count as major violations? any ideas to keep my license?
It’s a moving violation, and yes, you’re up for suspension.
Options? You could hire a lawyer and pay about 500 bucks to fight the last two, or about 300 for one ticket. But that’s only attourney fees and doesn’t touch court cost and fines.
Or, if you can’t afford to bribe your way out of it, you could allways apply for a "hard-ship" license that will allow you to drive to and from work.
I would say no on the stop sign it seems pretty minor to me

Wow, I live in Hawaii and none of those violations would even warrant a traffic stop! Not in Kansas anymore I guess.

Shit Happens Unfortunately if you don’t get one dismissed you could loose your license. Ask the court if you can take a driver improvement program and dismiss one of them
