What do you learn in massage therapy courses?

As you would expect, during your chosen massage therapist training you will have to learn a whole heap of subjects over and above the obvious massage technique; some sub-courses you could think of as irrelevant. Your massage courses will teach the obvious things like anatomy, massage technique, physiology, some psychology, but you will likely need to have grounding in medical ethics, and business studies etc.

Massage technique is obviously paramount and so hours of technique lessons is to be expected. Some massage therapy schools have massage centers for members of the public to come and be practiced on for a reduced rate. Academic learning typically is delivered in a lecture room or seminar setting.
