Life and Times of the Shelby Mustang
Carroll Shelby ended his understanding with Ford in the summertime of 1969. The GT350 and also GT500 for the 1969–70 model years experienced extensive face lifts, the actual body alone increasing in length by four inches (100 mm). Ford was initially closely involved with style and design selections, with Shelby having almost no input. The GT350 was now backed up with a 351 cubic-inch V8. Production of Shelby Mustangs discontinued with the 1970 model. Ford announced the Shelby GT-H model of the Mustang with the 2006 New York Automotive Show. Like the original GT350H coming from 1966, the GT-H featured gold-on-black coloring and was first solely available at the Hertz rental-car organization. A modest power bump above the conventional Mustang GT V-8 engine. Check it out – the shelby gt500 mustang!
