Failure to appear??????
I got one of those camera tickets (an infraction) in ca, did not recieve the court date in the mail because I wasn’t living at home at the time. It’s in failure to appear mode now and I want to get this taken care of. Getting ahold of traffic court via phone is IMPOSSIBLE…it’s an automated system. Should I just show up to court?? I don’t have all the money right now but will they still let me make payments?? Please tell me what will happen if I go to court like say…tomorrow??
I’d just go talk to them. You have a warrant at this point, but you should still be able to set up a payment plan. You will have to appear before a judge for the payment plan – at least in Texas you do.
I can’t see them arresting you for making arrangements to pay. I’ve gone for a ticket before, and there were people seeing the judge for 3 or 4 unpaid tickets and they just told them they needed to make their payments.
your like the black crayon in a box of crayolas

FTA on a trraffic ticket where i live Washington. Just makes you lose the case on the ticket. Its you admitting guilt. So now you have to pay the ticket. Go to the courthouse and talk to a clerk and get a payment plan set up

call ur local DMV they should be able to tell you or go to the PD ( police department) after so long and not appear they can and most likely will revoke your license

That’s a real good idea.. to contact the court clerk for the concerned court. Even if you have to drive there and show up personally. They should be able to tell you what your options are. The judge will consider all the facts and probably treat you fairly as long as he/she feels your being honest with them.
I’m pretty sure that one of the things you agreed to when you got your license .. as well as your state laws.. compel you to keep the DMV notified as to your current address… so them having the wrong address is your fault too and not much of an excuse.

show up to court tell them u wanna see the judge, the judge will bring up ur infraction and ur failure to appear (which will cost u more money) and most likely u can arrange a month to month payment. GOODLUCK.

failure to appear is an admission of guilt, they won`t arrest you for it, the DMV will just suspend your license until the ticket is paid.
