CA Traffic Citation not in court system?

I received a citation for speeding, 22439(b)VC in Tuolumne County on 08/21/2009. Going 60 in a 55 No need to lie, the CHP gave me a "break".
I look on the ticket and the Date of Violation is listed as 11/20/2009. This date appears on the ticket in both Date locations. WHY???
I call the number listed for the Superior Court and there is no history of my Citation on the automated system. I am able to search by citation number and license number. No history of citation either way. It has been almost 30 days and no notice has arrived in the mail. No idea what to do…I live about 2 hours away from courthouse.
So does the incorrect dates void or affect the citation? Neither of the dates have to do with appearance dates, only with date of violation and when/where citation being written.

There is no such thing as a written "warning" in California. You got a citation. My guess is that the officer erred and wrote the same date as the date of violation and the date of appearance. It does seem like a long time for the case not to appear in the system, but if it does not you are probably going to have to appear on the listed appearance date.

  1. if he gave you a break that means he didnt send it in so no need to worry its pretty much just a warning
